PWS® BEV-500 water purifiers utilize a lab grade reverse osmosis / deionization process to completely remove dissolved salts, nitrates, heavy metals, chemical pollutants, pesticides, and disease causing waterborne bacteria and virus (EPA EST. NO. 52531-FL-01).

Our designs have been laboratory tested and certified to conform to currently recognized BEV standards for pH, rH2, and resistivity. PWS® BEV Series appliances offer the ultimate in water purity and bio-compatibility.

For those who desire alkaline water, a remineralization filter (PWS-pHPlus™) has been developed which will raise the pH of the purified water to ~9.5. The pHPlus™ module provides a superior alternative to expensive alkaline water machines which are not able to remove all dangerous toxins from your drinking water. What good is alkaline water if it contains dangerous chemicals?

 Custom Reverse Osmosis Membrane

Our exceptional reverse osmosis membranes are all wet-tested before installation into one of our systems, and provide consistently high rejection rates, even when installed in real world scenarios. All of our membranes begin with rejection rates greater than 97% (many >98%), and after 3 years are usually still delivering rejection greater than 90%. Compare that to the membranes in many cheap RO systems with membrane performance dropping to 80% in as little as 6-months!

Off-the-shelf membranes used in the majority of RO products simply do not provide the consistency necessary to ensure BEV quality water. Outside of laboratory conditions other membranes seldom meet their stated specifications.

 Proprietary Deionization Module

After the reverse osmosis process removes 97% of contaminants, our deionization phase removes greater than 97% of whatever remains. This unique multi-stage module contains a proprietary blend of deionization resins (which capture any contaminants not removed by reverse osmosis) followed by several inches of carbon to polish the water for exceptional taste, ending with two stages engineered to block any backward migration of contaminants into the system.

• Electronic memory panel provides LED indicators for self diagnostics features including: System Power, Storage Tank Full, System On/Off, System Flushing, and Low Tap Water Pressure.

• Black anodized all aluminum modular bracket resists rust and corrosion.

• Combination sediment & carbon pre-filter ensures the RO membrane is protected from sand, silt and chlorine. Granular activated carbon also removes organic contaminants like pesticides, herbicides, and industrial solvents.

• Impact resistant quick lock fittings assure leak free connections making filter changes fast and easy.

• 4-Gallon (3.2 gallon usable volume) pressurized holding tank now includes a stainless steel fitting as standard.

  (Someone who is moderately handy, i.e. you have changed the oil in your own vehicle, can usually install a 500-Series system in less than 2 hours. Or you can obtain the services of a handyman or plumber, who should never take more than 90 minutes to perform an installation, unless you have a very unique space beneath your sink.)

• Under typical conditions, the PWS® BEV-500 system will refill the storage tanke with pure, BEV quality water at a rate of ~2 gallons per hour. For extremely low water pressure situations, or where more volume is desired, a virtually silent booster pump is available.
